My Story

When I think about growing up, I remember the confusion more than anything. I often felt different, but couldn't explain why. I would ask myself, "Why can't I seem to keep friends the same way as other kids? Why does being myself seem to push people away?"

I did well in school, so a lot of what I was struggling with went unnoticed. The parts of me that didn't quite fit were often overlooked.

I wasn't diagnosed with autism until I was 22. At first, I questioned it; I had my own assumptions about what autism was supposed to look like, and I didn't see myself in that. But through therapy and my own research, things started to make sense. It felt like finding pieces of a puzzle I didn't know I had been trying to solve.

That clarity also brought up a bigger question for me:

"What would it have been like to understand myself earlier? To have someone who could help me make sense of my experiences, advocate for what I needed, and navigate life with more support?"

That question is a big part of why I do this work.

While I had already been on a path toward supporting others, my diagnosis deepened that commitment. It shaped how I showed up in my Master's program and in my work within the school system. I strive to be someone my younger self didn't have; both for neurodivergent students and the people supporting them.

Coaching allows me to extend that support beyond the education system. I work with individuals and families who are trying to better understand themselves, navigate challenges, and build systems that actually work for them.

This work is personal to me. It's about helping people find clarity sooner, feel less alone in the process, and move through life with more understanding and support. Because I know firsthand how hard that journey can be.
